San Lorenzo Market

The San Lorenzo Market or “Mercato Centrale” as it’s known, is the largest marketplace in Florence. It sells leather goods including jackets, shoes, bags, belts, wallets, purses and gloves. Friendly bargaining is welcome. There are also leather shops galore. Shopping heaven!


Piazza Del Mercato Nuovo

Piazza Del Mercato Nuovo is an open-air market in Florence. Goods sold include cheap leather belts, jackets, wallets, gloves, purses, T-shirts, scarves and souvenirs.

This market is situated between Piazza Della Repubblica and Ponte Vecchio. Leather goods are a cheaper version of what’s sold in the San Lorenzo Market, so buyer beware.
