Karon Viewpoint
Karon Viewpoint, or the Three Bay Viewpoint, has the best views in Phuket. From this vantage point, you can see the bays of Kata Noi, Kata and Karon.
Beautiful turquoise, green water surrounds this gorgeous landscape. A popular stop with tourists and nature lovers.

Where is it? – Its in Mueang, Phuket, near highway 4030.

Wat Chalong
Wat Chalong is Phuket’s largest temple. It’s the place to pray and pay your respects to the beloved monk founders.
A dress code applies, as with most temples. No bare shoulders and wear clothing
that covers the body to below the knees. You can’t wear shoes either, so leave them outside. Also, no loud talking in the temple and don’t touch the golden statues.
After visiting the temples, check out the markets just a few metres away. You’ll find cheap clothing, souvenirs and other Thai goods.
Sellers only take cash payment, so make sure you have enough money or use the nearby ATM.

Big Buddha
Big Buddha is a 45 metre (148 foot) high concrete, marble covered buddha. The religious monument is to commemorate Lord Buddha, the master of Buddhism.

There are daily prayer and meditation sessions held by resident monks. Modest dress is also recommended if going inside this sacred place.
There are several shops outside the main tourist area selling clothing, souvenirs and other goods but only accept cash.
Where is it? – Big Buddha is in Mueang, Phuket.

Phuket Old Town
Phuket Old Town is charming and a must see destination on your Phuket trip. The town is rich in history and colour and it’s also an amazing shopping place.

Bargain shopping lines the streets, making it a shopaholic’s dream. If you want to buy colourful, tie-dyed clothing such as long pants, shorts and skirts and more, you’ll love it!
Prices are cheap, so make sure you have lots of cash with you and wear comfortable walking shoes! Lard Yai markets are held on Sundays between 4pm – 10pm for more bargain shopping.
Feel like a foot or shoulder massage to recover from non-stop shopping? Phuket Old Town has you covered. You can also find many cafes that cater to all food tastes.
Where is Old town? – Head to Thalang Road, Mueang, Phuket.

How to visit the tourist attractions
The cheapest way to see all the free Phuket tourist attractions is on a day tour. There are many travel companies that can take you there. I went with Sun Leisure World.
