Cats Playground

Address: 37-14 Myeongdong 8-gil, Seoul

Entry fee: 13,000 Won

Opens: 12.00 (midday)

Time limit: None. You are free to stay as long as you like.

On entry to Cats Playground, remove your shoes and slip on some slippers.

After paying the entry fee, put all your belongings into plastic bags. This is to make sure nothing gets wet.

Wet? Yes, some cats get a little overexcited seeing so many people.

Once you’re all bagged up, enjoy a free drink which is part of the entry fee.

Then you are free to roam, take photos (no flash), play, pat and interact with over 50 different cats. Most cats are friendly and inquisitive.

Some will be asleep like this, living their best life.

Others will roam the cafe checking if you have food. Sorry, no food here, buddy. 🥓

Some will relax and enjoy the view. This is my table now. 🛏️

Some will guard the counter.

There’s even a playpen where you can sit and grab a toy and play with the cats or, if you’re really brave, let them sit on your lap.

I enjoyed watching their entertaining antics. One naughty feline went into battle with a water bottle. You can guess who lost. Another pair were having a friendly fight on the nearest stratch pad. 🥊
