Titanic Belfast

Titanic Belfast is an award winning interactive museum and a must see for anyone interested in discovering more about the history of this iconic ship.


The Titanic ship was a Harland and Wolff creation built in 1909. The birthplace of Titanic is not in England as thought but in fact in Belfast. The shipyard where most of the building of the Titanic happened is right next door to the Titanic Museum.
There’s a tremendous amount of memorabilia to see in the museum, so make sure you allow a few hours for your visit. The museum is only a short walk from Belfast City Centre. Highly recommend a visit.

Carrickfergus Castle

Carrickfergus Castle is a Norman castle located in the town of Carrickfergus 30 minutes north of Belfast. It ‘s one of the best preserved medieval castles in Northern Ireland playing an important military role until about 1928.
Strategically built, surrounded by water and used as an air-raid shelter in World War II, it has a lot of interesting historical artefacts.



One easy way to get to the castle is to take a train from Belfast City Centre to Carrickfergus town. Once you arrive at Carrickfergus, the castle is on your doorstep.

St George’s Market

St George’s Market is an old mortuary used in World War II when Belfast experienced heavy bombing from the Germans.

Today, St George’s is a marketplace where food vendors, traders and musicians gather. A great place to visit, to eat, shop or be entertained.
Crumlin Road Gaol

In North Belfast is Crumlin Road Gaol. It was used as a prison until 1996. Affectionately known as “The Crum”, it held many well known prisoners such as Martin McGuinness, Bobby Sands and Michael Stone.
